Produced with Nebbiolo grapes from the "Vigna Rionda" (sheet No. 8, parcel no. 79-80-81-82-84-85-86) in Serralunga d’Alba.

Total area: 2.3 hectares.
Type of soil: marly calcareous.
Training system and plant density:
Traditional Guyot; variable between 6,000 vines per hectare in the oldest part of the vineyard and 5,000 in the younger one.
Yield per hectare: 45 quintals.
Average age of vines: 30 to 50 years.
Harvest: manual, carried out in the second half of October.
First year of production: 1982.
Total bottles produced: approximately 8000-9000 of 0.75 liters, 100 of 3 liters and 50 of 5 liters.
Alcohol content: 13.5-14.5% Vol., Depending on the year.
Vinification and aging: traditional Barolo par excellence with fermentation and maceration for 25-30 days at a temperature varying between 31 and 33 ° C. Aged for a total of 6 years, of which 3.5 in barrels of about 30 hl in Slavonian oak and 2.5 in the bottle.
